Choose an SDR source
Radio Bench 0.8 supports local USB receivers, network receivers, and IQ WAV playback. See Check supported hardware for the full device list.
Local USB sources
Airspy HF+ connects through its native USB library. Supported devices include the Airspy HF+ and HF+ Discovery.
RTL-SDR connects by USB. It supports RTL2832U-based dongles, including the RTL-SDR Blog V3 and V4, with source-specific tuner controls.
Network sources
RTL-TCP and SpyServer connect to receivers on another process or computer. Network buffering helps with packet timing variation.
Use a wired network when possible. A busy wireless link can cause delayed or missing samples.
File playback
IQ WAV replays supported stereo IQ recordings. It is useful for training, diagnosis, and repeated signal analysis.
Not included
HackRF, Airspy R2, Airspy Mini, SDRplay, and general SoapySDR sources are not included in 0.8. A compatible RTL-TCP or SpyServer program can still expose one of those receivers over the network.
